Short Bio
Dr. Hu received his PhD from University of Virginia in Biomedical Engineering. He then joined the Cardiac MR Center at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at Boston as a post-doctoral research fellow and then as an instructor. He joined UCLA Department of Radiological Sciences in 2010 as an assistant professor.

Research Projects
Professor Hu is interested in translational cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) research. His lab develops MRI pulse sequences, image reconstruction and processing techniques for diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of various cardiovascular diseases. Some of his recent research work includes MRI in the context of catheter ablation of cardiac arrhythmias, cardiac MRI for patients with implanted cardiac devices, cardiovascular MRI for congenital heart disease, accelerated phase-contrast MRI, quantitative myocardial T1 mapping, and compressed sensing MR angiography.
